| Lac Brome tour 120 / 65 km Difficulty level: difficult Driving to Bromont Rte 10 (AutoRoute des cantons de l'est) Exit 78 turn right follow signs to ski center. This is as scenic as it gets. We begin in Bromont and follow rolling hills to Knowlton and Sutton (OK, some hills are not as "rolling" as others are). Long ride 1) From the parking lot north on Champlain,then right on Chemin de Bromont to Fulford 2) Left on rte 215 (for about 0.5 km.) 3) Right on rte 243 (Lakeside) to Knowlton 4) In Knowlton at stop sign past the bridge turn left on rte 243 Short ride 65 km. 4) At stop sign continue straight on chemin du Mont Echo 11) Right on de la Falaise, in Sutton Junction right unto rte 215 north and rejoin the long ride. (If you want to add some more distance about 14-km. turn left to Sutton for a good coffee then return via the long ride instructions). Long ride (suite) 5) Past Manssonville right on Chemin Richford to Scenic Road 6) Right on Scenic Road (Nice uphill nice downhill) 7) At the intersection turn left on Shweitzer then right on rte 101 north to Sutton 8) In Sutton turn right on Maple to join rte 215 north 9) Past the intersection Rte 104 /rte 215 remain on chemin de Brome (the intersection is quite dangerous very fast traffic please stop) 10) At the end of chemin de Brome turn left on Fulford toward Bromont turn left on Champlain back to parking lot. | |
